Prestige Club Goes on Safari with Children’s Harbor

safari Prestige Club Goes on Safari with Childrens Harbor
On Saturday October 20th, 2012 Prestige Club took the children from Children’s Harbor and their house parents to Lion Country Safari. The children were picked up in a large Limo Bus at 9:00 AM and came back around 4:30.

All of the children were excited looking out the windows watching all of the animals coming up to the bus. They really wanted to buy food and feed the giraffes , however we found they had already eaten and would not come up to the platform to be fed. They loved the petting zoo and our member Bruce Freedman bought them all lettuce to feed the animals.

Twenty-Three people went on the bus plus volunteers Wayne and Cindy Eisen and Sue and Bruce Freedman. Following in the car was Polly Wilkie Founder, Diana Otriz and Pastor Sunny Swilley. After all the feeding of the animals they were treated to lunch in the cafeteria. We found out all the kids stories of why they were placed in the home. Once again we fell in love and wanted to take some of them home with us.

Lion country now has a water splash area so Cindy and Diana went in with them. Good Sport Diana was hit by water balloons. Everyone wanted to pay to see her in the game. Bruce asked everyone to have Carvel Ice Cream before we headed home and it was a real nice way to end the day.

Thank you to the Board Members for helping the children have a wonderful day!
