The meeting was called to order at 8:15 A.M. by
President Polly Wilkie.
A motion was made by Ed Roer to accept the
minutes of the April 24, 2008 minutes into the
record. A second was made by Mayor Frank Ortis
and the motion passed unanimously.
The treasury report was given by President Polly
Wilkie. She stated that we have about $8,900 in
our operating account at this time.
Congratulations goes to President Wilkie for
being inducted into the "Senior Hall of Fame".
President Wilkie stated that she received a
check for $50,000 for our picnic and Christmas
party. The Prestige Club has also started a new
program where gas cards and restaurant gift
certificates are purchased for people in need.
Our "Prestige Club Ladies Tea Party" will take
place on June 21, 2008 at the Vienna Cafe.
Ticket price is $50 per person and there are now
22 tickets left. Dillards will do the fashion

President Wilkie stated that she needs help
getting items for the tea party and Halloween
party auctions. We now have booked a lady, who
will set up and handle our auction items for
these 2 events. We are in need of someone to
chair the ad , gift and donation, and ticket
sales committees. Ed Roer volunteered to call
members for donations and Janine Porter
volunteered to pick them up. Sue Glasscock
volunteered to be in charge of ticket sales.

Our Christmas party for the Susan B. Anthony
clients will take place Tuesday, December 23,
2008, at the Southwest Focal Point Senior
Center. Volunteers will be needed for that
evening.
Our "Lovefest Picnic" will take place Saturday,
November 22, 2008. Melinda Rao will chair this
committee. Volunteers are needed. We all wish to
thank Mayor Frank Ortis for all the help he
gives us for this event.
Our next meeting will take place June 26, 2008.
